“Denim for the planet” is a project focusing on up-cycling with the purpose of eliminating the concept of consumer waste. As a fashion creative, I’ve always been concerned about consumer waste of denim and its impact on our environment. This made me team up with a group of emerging Iranian fashion designers to create the up-cycled denim pieces by repurposing discarded jeans” This story has been shot on a recycled denim backdrop which resembles the Planet Earth. We hope to inspire the rest of the Iranian creative industry to take a more sustainable and ethical approach to their crafting process to design the pieces of a higher value, and encourage people to think twice when producing waste!
